Look in your game data file, you might have a corrupted file. Had to delete my TF game file(not acct) recently and re install Oranges Box. It takes 10-15 min, your records are with EA not in your system.

nope i think its just certain ps3 systems. who has an 80gb? it may just be the 80gb's that are going wrong.

did you try re setting the internet connection settings that is what I do and it usually fixes any problems / the hard drive is a separate bay in the P3 which is easily removed and is designed to be replaced without any prior knowledge so the size of hard drive is irrelevant my hard drive is 250 gig for example / I think / it is more likely to be your files / and do you always use the P3 button to switch off your system ? flicking the power button will corrupt your data and will eventually lead to a system crash

the P3 needs to save settings and power down just like a PC as it has its own OS just like windows or a MAC use the P3 from now on or scroll far left and use the switch off function above user accounts

I created an account to see if I can help. If I take the DNS error at face value, the problem is your ps3 is trying to resolve an internet hostname (for example. http://www.sony.com) into an IP address. Poor connectivity/dropped packets/no connection can cause this lookup to fail, but also lousy DNS servers provided by your ISP can also cause the failure. Or if sony's/ea's DNS server's are timing out, your ISP's DNS server might still be waiting for a response, but this stuff is supposed to be cached. But all kinds of things can go wrong. It IS odd, though, that you get it so consistently. Can you browse the web from your ps3? Or do any other kind of networking? Your ps3 is probably using dhcp on your home network to get an ip for itself, but it also learns a couple of addresses for dns servers. One thing to try is to not use your ISP's dns servers. You can try opendns, which I've heard has better response. You don't have to modify your wireless router/etc, you can just override the dns server settings in the ps3: www.opendns.com/start/Their name servers are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
